I got a request for this one....another oldie from the 60s. Did you know Dolly Parton recorded this one too? Most people are are probably familiar with the recording by The Animals. I remember in college someone trying to tell me that the house of the rising sun referred to a brothel, but not according to Wikipedia ... give it a search!
